WHat I do

I specialize in layout and print design. I have worked with clients in various industries such as human resources/recruiting, cannabis, finance, IT, arts and culture.

I love to create pieces that evoke feelings of whimsy and nostalgia. My style involves marrying bold retro elements with modern aesthetics.

origins

Through various artistic expressions in 2020, I created and sold resin art products such as, phone cases, coasters, jewelry, pillow cases, wine bottle holders, decor, and abstract & concept paintings/ drawings. Initially we were called, "Inspirare Disegno" which means "inspire design" in Italian because I have Italian background.

I decided to transition from my teaching career, to graphic design full on. This is when I transformed the the brand name to, "u-inspiredesign studio" and primarily focused on graphic design. The meaning of the name was, 'inspiring my design process through my client's personalities' to cohesively represent themselves through their brand identity. I carry this exact concept into my brand today, just with a new name, font, and colours.

Today, we are "ccdesigns: graphic & brand studio" with the bold retro aesthetic.

WEBSITES

This wordpress-based website was for a client in need of a simple, clean and vibrant aesthetic feel that could be built upon later on.

They came to ccdesigns in need of a landing page for clients to find how to contact them and whom. I incorporated their logo I created overlaying a blurred city lights video, as their business is based upon networking in cities. This site was created in spring of 2022.

WEBSITES

This under-construction website is for a client in need of a clean yet bold and retro/tech aesthetic that is the hub for all things IT and is easily accessible for all ages and abilities.

They came to ccdesigns in need of website that would do the heavy lifting but not appear to be cluttered or overwhelming to a client, as many of the clients have visual impairments and diverse abilities. This website for TECHYWIZ.BIZ will be going live summer 2023.

BRAND GUIDES

For an internship with a large corporation within the cannabis space, I had the opportunity to create a brand guideline booklet for the company, Mainstem. All things brand identity were incorporated.

I met with the head of marketing, Preston Lewis, where he mentored me in the beginnings of my graphic design career. He taught me the best golden nuggets I needed to know to bring to the table for my clients.

Marketing t-shirts for clients in the corporate security space, 2021

Product label design

Product label mock-up for the graphic design program at TFS for steak spice label and the others are all examples from designs I did for a client who needed 100 product labels in 24 hours, for their customizable gift products that they sell. I loved the challenge.These labels would be options for their customers to choose from when designing their gifts.

logos & business cards

Logos have to be my favourite kind of design as there are so many amazing ways to design in a small image, that leaves a big impact. Here are some examples from clients and personal logos/cards between 2020-2023.

Cannabis industry

This client needed a clean, vibrant and bold coloured business card and logo. He also needed a dynamic logo that really represented his military background, so we went with a swiss army knife to frame the logo. These symbols were important to encompass for his brand identity. We collaborated through several revisions and creative ideas to accomplish capturing his personality within the corporate consulting brand. I went with a bright green and colbalt blue to make the symbolism in the iconography pop.

RECRUITING BUISINESS

These clients and I had fun with our deliverables together. After just a few logo revisions, we nailed it. These clients gave me a ton of creative freedom to work with, so I went with a classic design for their logo with the Mirage font they wanted for their logo and website. They wanted the burnt orange colour thus, the design on the top left was the final design revision we agreed was best suited to represent the classic aesthetic and bold elements in their recruiting business The cut out with the full company name through the abbreviated letters creates a classic dynamic.

IT CONSULTING

This client needed a complete brand refresh with a logo, website, brand guidelines, and business cards. He is an IT consultant and a good one at that, so we renamed his business for him as the TECHY WIZ. This name was encompassed in my design for this brand. I kept the previous brand colours to keep some familiarity in the personal brand this client had going before. The robot within the gear icon, with the wires at the bottom create the illusion that the robot is super-hero-like and also accomplishes anything with it's technology wizardry. Since this design is intricate, spacing alignments were key to the overall cleanliness.
